Chapter 3 – Belief in the Trinity
Some Key Terms:
Divine Simplicity
God is not made up of parts his love, holiness, wisdom, and power are not divided or separable. God does not merely possess these perfections; God is them.
Immutability
God's unchangeableness - his character never shifts with moods or circumstances; he is steady, dependable, and faithful
Aseity
God's self-existence he is not dependent on anything outside himself for life; no origin, no cause, no external source of being
Omnipotent - all-powerful; nothing thwarts his will
Omnipresent - not bound by space; fills all of creation
Omniscient - all-knowing; wisdom and understanding beyond measure
Holy - utterly unique, set apart, and morally pure
