Sola Scriptura (Latin: "Scripture Alone")
The position that Scripture is the sole normative source for Christian teaching; difficult passages are resolved by reading each text in light of the whole Bible
Material Sufficiency
Scripture contains all the material from which Christian doctrine can be derived, but requires sacred tradition to rightly order and interpret it
Sacred Tradition
The body of teaching and practice handed on by Jesus to the apostles, found primarily in the church's ancient prayers, liturgy, and the writings of the Church Fathers
